Eligibility for IASTEM Committee Membership
IASTEM welcomes experienced academicians, researchers, journal professionals, and industry experts to contribute to its international academic conferences and research-oriented initiatives.
Committee membership is intended for professionals who have relevant academic, research, editorial, or industry experience and are interested in supporting academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, conference development, and international networking.
Who Can Apply?
Professionals meeting one or more of the following criteria may be considered for IASTEM Committee Membership:
- Professors, Deans, Heads of Departments, and senior academic administrators
- Associate Professors and academicians with relevant academic or research experience
- Assistant Professors with relevant academic or research experience
- Editorial Board Members of recognized academic or professional journals
- Journal Editors and Peer Reviewers with relevant subject expertise
- Researchers and Scientists with demonstrated research experience
- Industry professionals and subject-matter experts with significant professional experience
- Professionals with recognized expertise or contributions in their respective fields
Applicants are expected to demonstrate appropriate qualifications, professional experience, subject expertise, or academic/research contributions relevant to the committee role.
Roles & Responsibilities
IASTEM Committee Members contribute their expertise to support the development and successful execution of academic conferences and related initiatives.
Depending on their area of expertise and the requirements of the respective activity, committee members may be involved in:
1. Academic & Program Support
- Suggesting relevant research themes, topics, and emerging areas for conference programs
- Recommending qualified speakers, researchers, academicians, and subject-matter experts
- Supporting the development of academic sessions and conference programs
- Providing suggestions to enhance the academic quality and participant experience
2. Academic Networking
- Connecting IASTEM with researchers, institutions, professional organizations, and industry experts
- Encouraging academic and professional collaboration
- Supporting knowledge exchange across disciplines and geographical regions
3. Conference Development
- Providing recommendations to improve conference structure, communication, and participant engagement
- Sharing professional insights that can help strengthen academic and industry participation
- Suggesting opportunities for collaborations, institutional partnerships, sponsors, and exhibitors where relevant
4. Professional Outreach
- Sharing relevant IASTEM academic initiatives and conference opportunities through appropriate professional networks
- Encouraging researchers and professionals who may benefit from participating in relevant academic activities
- Supporting broader awareness of IASTEM's research and knowledge-sharing initiatives
